Fletcher Crossman is a British artist with
a classical training from the university of Lancaster.
After graduating in 1987, Fletcher worked as an illustrator
in London before dedicating himself to fine art in
his late twenties.
Fletcher created a series of trompe l'oeil paintings
that were immediately taken up by a London gallery
and led to wider recognition of Fletcher's work in
Britain. In 1999 Fullbright Commission invited him
to teach in the United States for a year. Fletcher
gave classes at the University of Idaho and exhibited
in Seattle and New York.
In 2002 Fletcher moved to Charleston, South Carolina,
and is now represented by selected galleries across
the USA. Fletcher's work is exhibited annually at
the New York ArtExpo and other international shows.
