This portrait received the top award at the Westbank National Competition in 1995. Diane is really into Yoga and wanted something that depicted her in a powerful yet present way. Robert chose the angular composition with strong lines that lead the eye to the subject, expressing the inner structure and power with which Diane impressed him.
