Intrusion,  16″ x 20″ oil on panel

Intrusion is a pining for home, the great up north. Northern Michigan, that is. Intrusion captures a pair of deer, in the best light possible. Here I wanted to capture that special moment when two beings discover each other. In the next moment comes the decision to flee. Nature’s splendor never ceases to amaze me.  This was borrowed from a photo taken by my dear theatre and FB friend, Dana Gamara, used with permission. I told him it would make a great painting. I like the way it turned out. They say one isn’t painting things, but the way light interacts with things. I like the feeling of light capturing a fleeting moment in time.
