Description
Quench 18×18″ oil on panel, unframed
Quench captures that indescribable moment when fresh water became available to this remote mountain village near Jacmel. The shouts in Creole of “Come to get Fresh water” called out and people from the village came to celebrate and drink. Watermissions International installed one of their solar powered filtration systems to this abandoned, tainted well, transforming it into an endless source of drinkable water. This is one of over 300 such units scattered across remote areas in Haiti.
A portion of the sale of “Quench” will go directly to the WMI in Haiti operation.
